Melissa could not get into medical school right after college as she did not have the requirements. So Melissa did an archeology dig in Israel as a way to look more "promising". With some struggles - Melissa Weinstein did manage to graduate medical school as a DO as that was her only choice. Melissa also did not have many choices for residency so she had to accept Catholic Hospital - which is actually no longer open.
